The Calentura Bridge Project
Crossing Bahia De Chetumal Bay to southern Quintanna Roo will be easier!
The bridge from Chetumal, the Capital city of Quintana Roo to Punta Calentura (see map), has been ongoing for over 4 years. The investors are now in place to build the bridge.
The major investors and large hotel groups, predominantly in the Cancun, Playa Del Carmen, and Mexico; have already purchased very large parcels of land in Punta Calentura. Reforesting and building basic infrastructure for the “Arrival of the Bridge” has already begun.
The Punta Calentura Bridge itself will be quite simple to construct as the water in the Bahia De Chetumal is only 15 to 30 feet deep. This new bridge will be a flat land bridge rather than a suspension bridge, no large ships can enter into the Bahia as it is too shallow.
The reason the Bridge is simple, crossing the Bahia De Chetumal will be quicker than driving around on highway 307. Direct access to this area from Chetumal, which has an International airport, will save travelers a round trip journey of over 400 kilometers.
This new bridge is essential in order to develop the last, most southern part of the Mexican Riviera. The Calentura Bridge will facilitate quick access for construction workers, supplies, and tourists to the Calentura region.
The Calentura region is most significant from an investors perspective due to the following reasons:
* Its the last Frontier, we can see the hotels on the islands of Belize from this property.
* Calentura Sport fishing is world renowned for the much coveted “hat trick”; which is catching a Tarpon, Bonefish, and Permit fish all in the same day.
* World famous diving and snorkeling at reef Banco Chincharo is an hour boat ride away.
* Sport fishing for Marlin, Tuna, MAHI MAHI, or Dorado, etc.
